DURACIÓN

 

Duración total: 100 minutos.

Duración por corto: 10 minutos.

 

La duración está relacionada con la estructura del texto de La divina comedia, con lo que al término del minuto 33 se realizará una alusión al Purgatorio y 33 minutos después al Paraíso.

This proposal seeks to create scenes in which the symbols evoked by the poet become a narrative and visually approach to the experience of the characters in  a contemporary situations no longer identified with a religious position but with the circumstances built in the act. In general, the use of the symbol would be here to replace an individual, an object, a gesture or by a sign.

       HADO, it is an experimental feature which has its main structure in a "omnibus" projects, however, instead of being a collection of short films these will become foundation and key parts of the history, where they will be manipulated and edited in independent scenes that go on "crescendo" to the rhythm of the story of Gio, who is the building manager.

 

This feature film aims to create an approach to the South American culture and talent through the eyes of 9 emerging filmmakers from each country of the South of the American continent. Wherein each made a short film about one of the circles of the inferno to which alludes Dante's Divine Comedy, using as a "found footage" the 9 stories to twine with the story of a schizophrenic janitor, who lives in the same multicultural building where each short is developing, at the end of the film, the only way to know what has happened in each inferno is to see them independently.

 

 

 

To carry out the feature film, nine 

countries in South America will be

assigned to each ring of the inferno

and invite from 3 to 5 emerging

directors of each country to participate

   in this project where we will choose one script for every      inferno. The director selected will travel with max 3 of the main cast to Bogota-Colombia for 7 days, in which the short and the required scenes of interaction with

the janitor (main character of the general history)

will be shot.

HADO finds its articulation in the inferno narrated by Dante Alighieri. So despite the temporal distance between the text and this proposal, it is noted that certain standards of behavior are in the contemporary subject. We want to intensify the hatred that Dante used when he was banished, with which through the Divine Comedy, he judged and criticized a society consumed by individualism and hypocrisy, which today seems to be constantly manifested in people wanting to be isolated in their own universe, home and jail, where what happens outside of that world are indifferent.

Searching for a homogeneity in the image and to make the movie has a look like a complete work and not an accumulation of short films, we will work with the same professional crew to perform all the shorts (cinematography, art director, sound, montage), taking into has the independent view of each filmmaker.

 

Another point to keep in mind as the film unfolds is the food that will be present in some of his scenes because it is a direct metaphor from

      Gio inviting the viewer to enjoy the work,

       for entrance (Ceviche), main course (stuffed            flank steak) and dessert (Goiabada) that are            typical dishes of some South American                  participating countries.
